Privacy Policy
This policy explains how PresaleIQ ("PresaleIQ", "we", "us"), based in Elgin, Illinois, USA, collects, uses and protects information when you visit presaleiq.ai or use the PresaleIQ service. Questions: support@presaleiq.ai.
1. Our two roles
Customer Content — transcripts, documents, meeting recordings, questionnaire answers, platform credentials and the outputs we generate from them — is processed by us on behalf of the organisation that holds the PresaleIQ account. For that content the organisation is the controller and we are its processor; we use it only to provide the service. Account and website information (below) is handled by us as controller.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: name, work email, login ID, organisation name, role, and a hashed password — or the profile details your identity provider sends when you use Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn or SAML single sign-on.
- Customer Content: as described in section 1.
- Billing information: plan, subscription status and billing contact. Payments are handled by PayPal; we do not receive full card numbers.
- Usage and technical data: analyses run, documents generated, platform pushes, timestamps, IP address, browser type and language preference, collected through server logs and essential cookies.
- Communications: messages you send to sales or support.
3. How we use information
- To provide, secure and support the service, including generating deliverables and pushing them to platforms you connect.
- To create and verify accounts, send transactional emails (verification, deliverables, billing notices) and respond to requests.
- To bill subscriptions and prevent fraud or abuse (for example, duplicate free trials).
- To understand aggregate usage and improve the product. We do not sell personal information, and neither we nor our AI provider train AI models on Customer Content.
4. AI processing
PresaleIQ sends the Customer Content needed for each analysis to Anthropic's Claude API. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, Anthropic may not train models on that content and processes it under a data processing addendum. Outputs are AI-generated drafts and should be reviewed by a person before use.
5. Sharing
We share information only with the sub-processors listed on our Security & Trust page, with platforms you instruct us to push to, when required by law, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets (in which case this policy continues to apply to your information).
6. Retention
Each organisation chooses a retention policy: None (transcript and raw AI output deleted after delivery), Analyses only, or Full. Account information is kept while the account is active and deleted or anonymised within 90 days of a verified deletion request or account closure, except where we must keep records (e.g. billing) for legal reasons.
7. Security
We use encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage of platform credentials, tenant isolation, role-based access and other safeguards described on our Security & Trust page. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify affected customers without undue delay if we become aware of a breach of their data.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the GDPR, UK GDPR and U.S. state privacy laws), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, or to object to certain processing. Email support@presaleiq.ai. If your data is part of a customer organisation's Customer Content, we will direct your request to that organisation.
9. International transfers
We are based in, and host the service in, the United States. Where we receive personal data from the EEA or UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, which are available in our DPA on request.
10. Cookies
We use essential cookies only: a session cookie to keep you signed in, a security (CSRF) token, and a language-preference cookie. We do not use advertising cookies on the application.
11. Children
PresaleIQ is a business service and is not directed to anyone under 18.
12. Changes
We will post changes here and update the date above; material changes will be emailed to account owners.
